Largest saw ever made? (production!)

Stihl 090G - 090, Husqvarna 3120xp, or other brands? I have no idea. Just curious!

This is an Al Smith question. ;) The 090 is, I think 137 cc, and they made a version that was about 159 or so, or 10 ci. Solo made some big ones in the same range, some were even twin cylinders. 8)

 There were indeed a few huge Stihl 090's but it's debated if it was really a production model or not . 10 cubic inchs I believe .

It was rumored that old man Stihls grandson was into to go-karting and the old boy had some huge engines built up for him . How much truth there is to that I can't say  but I've seen pictures of the big engine on the net .

The largest saw engine I can think of off hand without researching the subject would be a Mall model 7 which is something around 12 cubic inches .

Well,let me put it this .Anybody that could run a Mall model 7 single handedly would gain my utmost respect .That thing must weigh 50 or so pounds with a 4 foot bar  and used a chain that would have been better suited to run on a trencher .

Mike acres site listed that giant old thing as having the capabilty of running a 144 inch bar .Good heavens it would take an entire afternoon,a box of files and a case of beer just to sharpen the chain . :D
