I have a rough cut slab of Siberian Elm that when cleaned up will be approx. 84x18x3" thick. Right now it is 84x18x4.5-3" thick and needs some work.I was wondering if anyone here could give me an idea of what this would be worth in its' rough cut shape. Someone saw it when here to pick up some Maple and asked if I would sell it and at what price. I said I would sell it to them but I have no idea of it's worth.

A place a little ways from here has 8/4 siberian for 2.30/bf for #1 grade, but since you have 12/4 and 18" wide I would ask more for it.  If it were mine, I'd try and get $3/bf for it or about $90 for the plank.  Start high and go down from there.

I wasn't aware that Siberian Elm was good for much.  What have you made from it?
My name's Jim, I like wood.

Only thing I have made from it was a small box so I don't really know much about it except I like the way it looks. ::)

And thanks for the info on the price, Thedeeredude.
