All of our mast crops are doing well in Iowa this year. We had a wet spring, the oaks are loaded with acorns and the walnut trees are starting to drop their nuts.

We are just starting to get the early apples too. Mumm mumm I do love fresh apple pie. :)

The pecans around the house are loaded. My crab apple trees have a decent crop. I've not had a good look at my white oaks to see what they look like yet.

Pecan and oak trees are really loaded.  The pear tree is full of fruit, but it is unusually small this year.  I'll pick this weekend.... :D  My mon set that pear tree out 72 years ago.

This Friday I'm going to check on a couple wild bur oak for some nuts. They are a rare tree in these parts. The squirrels always beat me to them. The beech and oak and butternut are not real abundant this year. My white oak flowered, but no pollen so the acorns are duds, no bigger than peas.
