Have you ever used this type cutters on a table saw or radial arm saw? I got a set of cutters when I bought a used saw. The cutter head holds three knives and there are about 15-20 different knives sets ground to different shapes. Using the different knive shapes, about any type molding could be milled. They don't appear to be the safest thing that was ever made, but they sure would cut good with a 5hp motor driving them.

Would you give them a try, or leave them in their box?

I've used them on both my table saw and radial arm saw.

Give it respect, and they work fine. No less safe than a regular blade, IMO.  :)

Can you post a pic of what you have?  I don't think you need 5 hp to drive mine.

I've used them. Take your time while setting up a jig to run them through. Key point is having a good hold down clamp where they run through the cutters. A power feed well also give better results.
