Dick

Good morning i am new so please bare with me. I recently got back in the forestry business and i bought a 1968 franklin 130B skidder and im already having to work the bugs out of it it sticks in gear and im looking for any one that knows if there is any other top plate or shift plate will fit this i was told that an older ford straight 4 speed would fit it. Its a fuller the shift ball and socket are worn so it slides right on by the gears and gets locked. Of course its so old that the numbers are gone off the tranny but i was told that it was probley a 5A330  or  5830. so what im looking for is if any one knows if an old ford tranny plate will fit. Thank you for all your help   Dick w

Do you have a pic. of your skidder? I just picked up a mid-60's Franklin also. It has a New Process tranny, Rockwell transfer and axles. Little ugly, but picked it up cheap.
Belsaw m14, 1992 Ford 1720, Homebuilt  bandmill, Franklin 120b & a bunch of worn out, banged up stuff........gotta love it.
