I as a Veteran would like to thank all other veterans both present and past and those who are serving now I have a daughter who is on her second tour in Iraq This is a little saying that I think puts it in perspective
"Thanksgiving is a day we give thanks for all the things we have ."Memorial Day is a day we give thanks to the people who fought and are fighting for the things we have .
God Bless all the Men and Women laying it on the line so we can enjoy doing what we do

All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Thirty plus years in the sawmill/millwork business. A sore back and arthritic fingers to prove it!

A big thank you to all armed forces members active and retired.

It is because of them that we have what we have.

Raider Bill

In the early days of WW II the Marine raiders attacked Makin Island and left
behind 19 Dead Marines after asking the islanders to make sure that they
received a proper burial.  In 1999 the remains were discovered.  This is a
very touching tribute.............

The First 70 years of childhood is always the hardest.

Thank you Raider Bill.  That was a moving tribute to the fallen.  I cried.

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Norm

I would like to thank all that have served and those serving to preserve our freedoms.

God Bless America.

Today we give thanks to all of you who have given so much.  Keep us free, you heroes.

Thanks too, to Raider for posting such a moving tribute.  :'(

We simply continue to fly ........

We are flexible like that.

I was watching some of the ceremonies on TV did something I should do more often.  Turned down the TV, picked up the phone, and called an old army buddy in Georgia.  We served together in Vietnam and when I rotated back stateside, he showed up about two weeks later to a unit next to mine.  Some of the guys you serve with become family and when they are gone it's a big void in your life.

I salute those who have served and are now serving.  This country has the finest and most dedicated service men and women in the world.  Before retiring from my civilian job with the Air Force and Air Force Reserve, I had the priviledge of working with the finest group of young people.  Give that serviceperson of yours a big hug in person or call them.
