Here is a new tree I found on my place. I actually know what this one is, so thought I would put it out there for others to try their luck on. In a since, it is sort of on the edge of it's boundaries. It is flowering and the sight of it took me by surprise. Here it is... I'll add more pictures as the guesses come.

No trunk pictures, it ain't big enough. Gary, not dogwood, they quit blooming almost two weeks ago.

Hmm, fairly large stipules there. Must be a tree with fairly large bud. You deliberately not showing all the new shoot, leaves? Can't be ash leaf rachis, since they would be grooved. Maybe tupelo or magnolia? :D

Everyone else, you are way cold. Of all the people guessing, DanG has the most experience with this tree. ;) And it ain't in reference to his guess of notsweetgum. :D :D which is accurate.

For those of you watching, here are the subtle hints that have been dropped so far...

Yeah, that's it.

Also known as "Old Man's Beard" And here are the hints and answers....
