My kiln has a particle board floor painted with aluminum roofing paint. It has taken a beating from foot traffic and moving fans and de-humidifier around and has chipped off some paint possibly allowing for moisture entry. I am thinking about covering the floor with truck bed liners or a similar impervious material. Just wondering what others' experience has been with foot traffic and how you solved it.

I thought of the same thing, however I was worried about high temp use I plan to set pitch at 160F.

So I went with electro galvinized sheet metal covered with roof coating.

I skinned the entire kiln w/ galv. metal.
