WWII Electric German chain saw

Hi,

Saw this in the US army field manual of the German Military during WWII.

There is a description of two gas saws as well, one "lightweight" at 111 lbs and one 172 pounds which required "two people" to operate.

Texas Ranger

I believe I used one of those when in college, good thing we were young, and stupid, back then.  Kind of like the little beaver girdler.

Here is a better pic. This saw is on display at the factory museum in Wablingen.




The official name is Lilliput and it was made from 1933 to 1937.
The first few STIHL chain saws were electric, most were 2 man, a couple were bow type, and I think the first gas saw was the type A in 1929.
