I finally got time to uplaod a quick picture of the mill.  It is now sided, and will try to get a photo up soon.  The mill measures 40x60.  Most of the frame is Red Pine.

Here is an updated photo of the mill.

I did a rough estimate of wood sawed for the project.

Frame:  5100 bft of Red Pine and Oak
Roof:   3200 bft of sheathing and 1000 bft of purlings (white pine, red pine, and aspen)
Siding:  3200 bft of wihite pine

I bought commercial trusses and glulam header for the front.

one thing i want to know is........... how did you get the long skinny logs to turn into the short fat logs bucked and ready to saw.

that is a very nice looking operation you have going on there... while others near me refer to my mill as an abortion.

I haven't designed the house yet.   I hope to finish the addition to the mill first.  It will be 40x36 on the left side of the mill.

Beautiful- makes me want one just like it, almost.  I like flatter roofs in general since I really hate heights and would much rather work on a roof I can walk on.  With a metal roof, you can easily go as low as 4:12 or even 3:12 so the question is: why the high peak? Ventilation?
