My old Yamaha big bear 400 no longer has spark, anyone have any idea what usually goes wrong so I don't need to tear the whole thing apart.

First, check your battery. Those small batteries die quite often.

 Electronic ignition has fried  died .. capout .......  :-\ 

  I will call my nephew and find out where the darn thing is for you ... he changed it on his not too long ago .

 

   Edit : He sayes its above the starter (hand crank ) He said to follow the plug wire . He also said that its s'pensive .. he went with a used one .  :-\
