Power unit water pumps

Most of us mess with old engines at least some of the time.Water pumps can be a problem bearings/seals go and they leak.Almost all pumps use the same one piece bearing and common seal.Your john deere dealer can supply these ask for the pump parts for a JD420.You need a good press and be carefull,cast iron pumps can almost always be rebuilt diecast crap mayby. Ive done cast bfore not that hard but I prob wouldnt bother trying a crappy alloy one tho. not many make things they should anymore do they now.
