Hi All,
There is oriental bitersweet down the road from my place.
Haven't seen it on my place yet, but its coming.
Was thinking of doing TSI work and an improvement cut, but reconsidering because i would rather have a forest full of lower value wood than a forest full of vines.
Property is several hundred acres or so almost all wooded. Wood is 40-80 yrs old.

What can be done to minimize the spread of this pest?
Can it be managed once it invades or is the forest toast once it shows up?
is this the "plant that ate the north" or is it manageable with reasonable expense?

thanks.

Hack and squirt seems to be your best approach, how much time do you have? I'd still do the cuts.
