Bucking Hardwood Logs for Urban Tree Professionals

Seneca Creek Joinery is located off RT
28 on Peach Tree RD. From I-270 take
the Rt 28 exit toward Darnestown about 15
miles to Peach Tree Road. The landmark
is Lewis Orchards Farm Market. Turn Right
on Peach Tree Rd. Go 1 mile to 19701

This HVIP Bucking Workshop is
designed to give Urban Tree
Professionals knowledge and practice
in utilizing trees removed from the
urban forest to their highest
environmental and economic value.
• The training includes both indoor and
outdoor components and makes use of
the HW Buck computer simulator to
give participants the opportunity to
improve their skills on both simulated
and actual, on-site, tree stems.
• Topics covered include hardwood
defects, grading and scaling, and
expert bucking techniques.
• Participants receive SAF continuing
education credit.
