Does any one know who made the setter Suffolk put out? I would say it is about a 98 or so. I thought it was a cooks catlaw, but now I'm not sure.

I'm quite sure it was Cook. When I purchased my mill (2002) I was in frequent contact w/ Cook and asked them about their setter. I thought it looked and awful lot like the Suffolk's and they told me Cook had made a version specially for Suffolk to sell with features they wanted.

Lee,Suffolk sold the cats claw band grinder made by cooks. From what i hear they were underselling cooks and had a falling out.Art at suffolk holds patends on the double tooth setter although i'am sure the actual manufacture is done by a third party.Frank C.

I got a video from Cooks to try and get some info about the setter I have. Obviously not the same setter. Maybe what I have is an older model. I'm doing ok with it, just wanted more info. I tried contacting Suffolk a couple of times with never a reply.

It is pretty unusual for Suffolk not to have a reply to an inquiry. :D :D
