I have recently put a 42" bar on a 036 Stihl  for a few large cuts. The chain seems to need more oil. It uses about !/3 tank of oil to a tank of gas so I believe it's working properly. Is it possible to adjust the oil flow? How?
Thanks,  John

Maybe, maybe not. Not all 036's had adjustable oilers.

The adjustment screw is on the bottom of the saw case. Even if the saw doesn't have an adjustable oiler the access hole will be there. Blow it out with compresed air and look, if there is a slot for a screwdriver, you have an adjustable oiler.
There is only a 1/4 turn adjustment and the screw turns hard.

Good luck.  ;)
