Much More Rain And .....

I swear, it's rained three of the last four weekends here in Memphis and some in between. The mill is on a hill but not a raised platform. I can't move the tractor without cutting big ruts in the soil. So I couldn't pull logs over to the mill. Can't move the mill over to the logs. If it rains much more I think I'll be able to float the logs uphill to the mill. Ug!

Same here your not the only one with this problem. I know here in Mo it would be easier to float them out. I put some ruts in the ground with my skidder that is about waste deep. Ya come back to it about 5 min and you have a pool of water in it. Our trees are budded out now so not much longer.

It will pass,we have to saw by the seasons,fridgid freeze your butt season,up to your butt in snow season,same with mud season,blackfly season,humid skeeter season,damp fall rain season.Once in a wile their is a day that comfyand alls right with the world.Frank C.
