Got his plans for a Band Blade Sharpener, and built the sucker. Already got 6 blades sharpened. Total cost, $17.95, for the small gearmotor and $13.23 for the belt and 2 bearings.
The blades sure feel sharp. Now, if they cut, we should be in business. ::) ;D

I have a great imagination and can just about see that sharpener, but a picture might help just a little.  :D

Harold can ya send me a copy of the plans. :) I sure could use some plans that could save me some money. :)
  What size motor is that???

   Steve

Fla._Deadheader

Which motor?? The washing machine one, or, the electric window one??
Next time I see ole Rube, I'll get his address for y'all !! :D :D
Actually, it wasn't as difficult as I had imagined. I need to add a fine adjustment to the advance bar, but, I think that is all I have to do. Of course, some switches and switch boxes would probably be nice. ;D

Harold,

Looks like it is pretty simple to make. I have enough junk laying around to make me one of those too ;D

If ya get a chance, pass his address my way so I can get me a copy.

What spelin ?? There are NO plans. I built this thing as I went. The tricky part is the cam that runs the grinder up-down and the advance, at the same time. The gearmotor came from Surplus Center. It is 12-24 volt. I use a battery charger-12V. I will post pics later and, surely, if you have access to a welder, it is NOT that difficult, OR, send me a blade that you use, and I could do the gearmotor-cam thing for ya??
I built a dual tooth setter a while back. It works well also. Looks like the one by Suffolk.
