A client here in utah, has several pecan logs and wants me to cut them 4/4.  He is asking the value of it as green wood.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Actually, I am trying to find out the bf price of 4/4 green pecan.  The owner wants to sell some if after I cut it.

I think it sells about the same as hickory. Don't quote me. I never sold a stick in my life.

Any local mills in the area you could call and get a quote from?

Not much pecan in utah.  None of the mills I have talked to have ever cut any.  How would I find the hickory price?  Not real common in utah either.   8) 8) 8)  Found the price.  A bit pricey but it works!!  It is about $4.50 per bf.

$4.50BF sounds like a KD price. Not likely to get that for it green although you might considering where you are.

Long way to Utah, but a local mill around here has 4/4 FAS/SEL kiln dried pecan/hickory is $2.65bf.
