Yep! Hollywood here I come.  Going to be on TV tomorrow night, Feb 26th.  David Oliver of KOLR 10 out of Springfield MO. will have a little deal on the ARKANSAWYER SAWMILL on the 10 pm news.

The crew was here filming today and we were busy and short two men.  Weather was nice for a change.  Hope it was worth their trip.

So if you get Springfield MO. channel 10 the segment is to come on before the weather so watch and see how I did.  Guess it was my first time on camera like that.  LBJ would not get out of the truck so it was just me and the hands.  I will see if I can get the wife to record it and sell copies to raise money so the mill will not look so bad.

Yee-haw Arky!  Congrats on your media breakthrough.

I just got one question, though.  I was lookin' at that funny lookin' little car them folks was drivin, and got to wonderin' if they work for that station on the front door, or the one on the back door. ??? ;D

Can you save a copy from the link? If I need to, I can call KOLR10 and get permission to copy. Let me know.

Jeff

I don't have any real way to copy it. They may not even allow us to. I guess the real question for them is, will that video clip STAY on their website, or disappear in a few weeks. You guys wanna make sure you can get your self a copy to save if they don't.

Arky, you don't look to have aged a day since I saw ya last. ;)

Yep,  it's a miricle I didn't fall asleep before You came on,  Arky.  That's way past my bedtime ;)

I'll start out with a little criticism :o :o  As you could expect,  it was too short to show everything I wanted to see and hear.  The newscaster referred to it as an old-time sawmill,  which was innacurate,  but didn't detract from anything.

The good things were:  It put David in a very good light and couldn't have been a better advertisement if he had paid to have it aired.  It made the portable bandmills look good and productive---WM in particular.  It put sawmilling and the industry in a good light.

It was a good thing for Arky and all the rest of us too. ;D

Makeup does wonders for a body.  ;D   NOT!  Yep that was me sawing on the LT70 and James sawing on the LT40 and Will running the edger and Sam on the loader and KB loader.  I had two hands out and Karen was in the office and keeping customers out of the way while they were filming.  It took amost two hours to make that two minute film.  ::)
Been lots of people in today because they saw us on TV.  Hope I did the industry proud and we get better for it.

Got nuthing agin my northern broters but at $3.50 a gallon it is a long ways to drag wood.  We keep the still on the back of the 30 acres so the Feds can't find it.  Them boys can not handel their shine so they break things up.  With all then Bio-fuel stuff corn is getting high.
Had two folks who wanted that walnut slab.  Going to make it up and take it to the TV station.
