We've got an in house employee auction that has a 1980 Clark electric fork lift up for bid. 2,150# lifting capacity, less than 2 year old battery, good condition and charger included.  Anybody got an idea of what the thing is worth? ???  ??????

I've seen a lot of the little ones like that sell at auction here for between $250 and $750.
Hardest part is the chargers are usually 3 phase.
Some of the cheaper ones don't have a good battery.

They don't work good off pavement. You can use them a little on hard packed gravel, but it's REAL easy to get stuck.

Is it a three wheeler or four?

Maybe $1000 tops. I just checked, all the nice 5k ones (newer Clarks too) on Craigslist Atlanta seem to run between $1700-$3500.

Furby, I was thinking more along the lines of using the battery (new 9-06) for a solar/wind set-up. I have several different projects to use the hydraulics on. Then, scrapping whatever else I can't find a use for. The auction is only open to employees and the bid is so low now I' m embarrassed to say the
rebocardo,  That's about the range I had in mind. Gonna get out of the bidding before it gets that high.
Thanks for the information guys.
