I have an order to dry 3x3" sassafras. The customer is saying that he has a hard time getting sassy that is not checked which kind of suprised me since I have always thought of sassy as being easy to dry but I've only dried 4/4.
I'll be drying it in a Nyle L200 just wondering if anyone has had any problems with this thicker stuff? I suspect that he is getting his sassy from some one who is just drying it at max speed.
Mobile Demension sawmill, Bobcat 873 loader, 3 dry kilns and a long "to do" list.

Based on my recent readings on Sassafras, it shrinks less while drying than any other native hardwoods to our area.
So my thinking is you would be correct.
