If you are interested in workmanship then you need to see this craftsman's handiwork. I was absolutely amazed at the scale. Get this: the bore is 1/8" and the stroke is 5/16". It is a push rod engine too. Joe

I've been fascinated by the scale model aircraft engines you can buy. They are pretty expensive, but WAY COOL.

They are MUCH bigger than those first ones, and use glow plugs, but are otherwise normal 4 strokes putting out about 4 hp.

those are cool, my brother always messes with stuff like that. he built a steam engine that was very small like those. seems like you got the steam from match heads or something. it really worked, he also had one you could hook to a air hose and it ran on really low pressure.

I've been to his website (there's a link to it in that article). He makes his own sparkplugs, as small as 0-80 thread.
I hope my ship comes in before the dock rots!
