Since GA Boy has sold his Peterson, I no longer have someone to go to for large log slabbing.   Anyone know of someone in the MD, D.C. or Northern VA area that does on site slabbing?
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]

Dave,

The only other swinger in the area that I know of is Troy.  I think he is out of Oak Grove, the one that's on route 3 on the other side of 301.  HE was last active back in August 2007.  If I remember correctly, he talked about working over at Pax River.  Check out his profile, he has an email address.  I also think I remember him talking about having a slabber.

If and/or when you go to do this slabbing, let me know.  I would like to watch/help/get in the way – as long as it's after black powder bear season. ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D

Thanks Bruce,

I don't currently have anything needing slabbing.  However, I have a 'few' woodworking customers that like wide (34+ in) boards.   They use it for furniture.

I just like to have information available if the question comes up.
