gotta an RFQ from a customer yesterday for some 8x16x14' timbers, the only kicker is they need a "radius" (curve) cut out of one of the 8" sides. I know I had seen a machine to cut curves and such in timbers in Sawmill and woodlot magazine a while back, but I can't seem to dig it up anywhere. anyone seen this machine or know where one might be? I know timber framers cut some pretty wild curves sometimes, so that's my next avenue to check. Thanks, Kirk

Mafell is  the name of the company, finally found it. the salesman there put me in touch with a timber framer about 50 miles from here who can do the cuts.

Shoot, my chainsaw will do that. Wanna see some curved or arched bucked logs?? It's easy !!  :-[ :-X  I think I better go sharpen it. ::)
