I cut two loads of utility poles during my week off from my day job.  The first load was 35 trees and the second was 33.   The video link below shows loading the first batch.  Enjoy!

I remember so well our early days - we heated with wood and that was vacation. We would go out to the woods for two weeks and cut all the wood we needed for the winter.

Boy was I ready to get back to work and rest after the two weeks!  :o
So, how did I end up here anyway?

The class sizes were from 35 to 52 feet long and the average age of tree I would estimate was 40 years.

Yes, I am ready to go back to the day job for a rest.  ;D

I'm cutting in upstate New York.

Whera-abouts in upstate NY?  I live near Ticonderoga and am originally from up on the Canadian border.

Just north of you.  AuSable Forks.

no kidding.  I am about 5 min from there right now.  I'm running the CR 82 / Covered Bridge construction job in Jay.

Oh yes, the infamous Jay covered bridge.  I actually have sold some logs in the past to Ward Lumber just up the road from there.  You should try to get a tour sometime of their sawmill.  I think they give them sometimes.
