Ebay Scam?

A auction ended yesterday for a Lucas swing mill and I wanted to get some options on if it was legit.
The seller had 0 feedback and had no reserve on the auction. I sent him two emails trying to find out more details but got no response. The whole thing didn't feel right and I did not bid. The mill sold for just over $6k which seems to be a real low price,  (if it was complete, I not sure if it was).
I guess my thought was if it wasn't a scam the seller would have worked a little bit harder to get a good price. He sure didn't get my bid.
Any thoughts?
