So if there's a second favorite topic on here, it's about food, right?  I'm a fan of cooking, and you all know I like to mess around in the kitchen (and it shows!).   ;D I was bopping around the internet, and came across a competition to come up with a new cookie recipe, and the prize is a new kitchen.   8)  I'm hoping you all will vote for me!

Well, after about 20 batches, I came with a DanG tasty cookie, and so I sent it in.  The online voting begins today, and I'm hoping you all will swamp the field and help push me into the final 30.   8)

You can vote here:  Cookie Competition Voting--Semi-finals

My cookie's called the "Chocolate Mint Explosion," so if you just do a search on the page for "explosion," you'll find it quick, and then just click the vote button on the bottom of the page.

Now, if you're curious about the recipe I came up with, you can see that here:

Chocolate Mint Explosion Recipe

Thanks ahead of time...and tell all your friends!   ;)

Here's a picture:

Count me in.
Now I think it is only fair that you make a few hundred of those cookies for the pig roast so we can all honestly say we have actually eaten one.

Thanks for all the votes so far, everybody!   8)  What I'll have to do is bake up a few batches, then freeze them, and have Furby deliver them for me, since I'm in California this year again during the Pig Roast.  I'll get on it!   ;D

I was wondering where this Northerner would find "gritz"?  :D Since I won't make it to the piggy roast, I'll have to make my own. They look yummy! Chocolate and Mint!!! My vote is being counted!

DanG!  How'd you find out the secret ingredient?  You're never supposed to reveal every secret, and now you've gone and confounded the whole thing for me.   ;) As to the source, isn't it in Yankee land where you'll only find instant gritz anyway?   :D
