Glue for pottery

Wife has this yard ornement (pottery type stuff). Anyway it is broken. Tried using hot glue. Anything else that I might use that would work.

It foams a little as it dries, sooo, a little dab'l do ya.  8)  Clean the surfaces and wet them some, before gluing. Makes the glue stick better  ??? ???
