design a chamber for a 10 000 bft kiln ??? ???  I am planning to possibly get a Nyle L500 unit and leaning towards a side loading chamber rather than an end loader with carts.  Advice/opinions would be appreciated!

Wade

Tom,
I am in the same boat as you  ???. I just purchased an L300.
I am thinking of using sips for my chamber. After looking into
regular framing and insulation, the price of the sips are not that far
off. I am going to make mine front loading. I dont want to have
to use carts. The chamber will be 19' wide x 16' deep (inside)
with 6" panels. I got the dimensions from Nyle and this should
give me around 6000 bdft capacity. I will be ordering the panels
on monday and hopefully starting the slab work next week 8).
I will be asking lots of ?'s soon. Good luck. Wade
If it's worth cutting down a tree for, it's worth doing right

Thanks Wade.  What will the layout be on the inside?  I am thinking of something like 12 000 feet now (it keeps getting bigger ;D)  One row of lumber 5' wide at the back, kiln unit in the middle, another 5' row of lumber at the front, a space maybe 18" and then the door.  I also don't want to use a cart, but rather sticker right off the mill and load the kiln with a skidsteer or something like that.
