There's a place for Blind River somewhere on there.
Why did they call it Blind River in the first place?
I use to live in Algoma Mills.

I put a mark on the map but I guess I dont know my geography very well. It turned out about 250 miles too far north. Blind River was apparently so named becaues the original inlet is virtually impossible to see from Lake Huron. The present day channel is very obvious, but it was blasted through to make a mill race and brings the river out a mile east of the original. Lots more was happening back when we had the biggest white pine mill east of the rocky mountains. Algoma mills had its day too. it is still a nice place to live, but a hard place to make a living. Why is this always the way it goes.

I don't know about that Frank, I made a decent living swimming over at the dam all summer long and snaring rabbits all winter long.
Then I turned sixteen and had to get a job.  ???
