Friend has an LT40 super with a bed extension for long timbers. Nice, but running back and forth to the far end of the mill to move the backstop up or down gets to be tiresome. Here's a fairly simply way to couple it to the hydraulics.
The manual stop on the extension needs to have a control arm welded on or the whole assembley replaced with one like on the mill frame.

A pushrod made from 3/4 thickwall tubing is attached with a rod end bearing.
The rod passes uner the frame and attaches to the last backstop with a bracket made from a short piece of 2 inch square tubing.

The offset attachpoint is necessary to get around the rear support jack like this

For something so simple, it sure saves a lot of steps.
