Does anyone have any web references for somewhere you can download soil survey information specifics online by inputting legal property descriptions?

Jeff,

It is available on the State website somewhere.  You need a high speed connection to pinpoint though.  Our county website has it so maybe our county website may too.  It sure is need on our county website.

Jeff,

What county are you looking for the info in?  I guess that parcel specific locating is dicated that the county has all of its parcel info in the GIS database for its website.

You can also get soil survey maps for most counties in Michigan for free from the MSUE office.  I have an entire set of what was available in Michigan at the time for research in college.  If you know the county maybe I could help if the books are out of print.

Jeff,

Here is the state website for you to start at.  Your county of choise's website is not listing any GIS database but the info should be on the state site.  I know you have a high speed connection so it will not take you all night to poke around there.

That is a swampy piece of land?

Look up the meanings of the specific soil types you have to see what you can do with them.

Are you trying to plant for the deer?  I think from the overveiw that the loams would be your best bet on fields but they are probably where the best timber is on the property also.

Sounds to me that they could have made a lot less confusing note by saying when they would "try" to be available.

Well you can see why that house is where it is.

Nope, has nothing to do with it at least for what seems to be the reason. That camp is on the very edge of the next property and only been there a few years.

The property is not exactly what the soil survey makes it appear to be.
