Yesterday I met a gentleman who is 85 years old and still milling. He is a retired minister who did some woodworking on the side as a hobby for most of his life.He has a Norwood mill set up under a lean-to shelter so that it is out of the weather. He skids with a Hardy 245 4x4 tractor. He does sawing for other people and himself. He has had people as far away as 70 miles come to have him make them a black walnut mantle.
His house by his own design is built in the ground.Currently he is lineing the interior wall of his garage with cherry veneer that he has sawn on his mill.He is quite an interesting individual.I will have to go back and see him again when I have a chance.
I guess it goes to show that you are never to old!
