Fruitwood logs

My neigbour is pulling out his pip and stone old fruit trees, he has offered me a whack of logd (well so-called logs),

Question:Is there a jig /trestle type apparatus where I can place these logs on in-order to safely chainsaw into say, 300mm long billets?, the only one I think I have seen is shaped like a "X", there must be something out there simpler?
