Well..it was beautiful Saturday afternoon and Isaac (Ike) and I (Mike)
head out in the truck. We had two friends who were going to give us
about 3 Cedar logs each. Well they lived within 2 miles of each other.
Thought we would go and get em all with the TRUCK.

At the first friend we loaded the 3 Cedar logs and then he said we should
get a couple more oak. I said, " You wanna' give it a try?"

Watta' ya think he said?

He jumped on and filled the truck up.

Almost felt like Tom Sawyer getting the fence whitewashed.

A good day was had by all.

We still have the other friend to go visit.

Here's the whack o' logs...

Ike is the one in the TRUCK eating a banana.

Mike that banana there reminds me of a story I have told here before, and its true.

Back in the early 1930's my Dad's family was very poor, there were 8 boys and 2 girls. The oldest, Lena, left the farm to get married and work in Flint. She returned one weekend to visit bringing a surprise for all the boys, something new they had never seen or had before. Bananas! Later in the day my uncle Donus came into the house complaining to Lena, that even though he had thrown away "the Cob" those bananas had upset his stomach.
Just call me the midget doctor.

Not yet...

We have a 1 month old baby (Ian Zachary) and my wife (Terri) wanted me to move the mill
and logs etc down the hill and behind us. She rightly wanted the approach
to the house to be pretty and all with relatives coming in to see Baby.

Just got all that done and grass seed coming up. Set up the mill on a
very slight incline to feed logs. Moved the logs and equipment. Now
I'm ready to get back to it....oh oh the baby decided not to sleep all
night.

Probably get back to sawing this weekend. The new site is cooler than
the old and right by the lake so I can cool off once in a while. I'll try to
get pictures this week.
