How I spent my Saturday

I am getting started on the log pile. I decided to do walnut first and then do some oak. I did about 600 bdft and man was I tired by the time I was done. Of course I did it all the old fashioned way by hand skidding the logs with my truck.

The oak pile, they don't look that big but the one on the far right was 22" dia. So some of the oaks are pretty big and will need spilt. I guess I am lucky that Mother nature has started that process for me :D


I did get some real nice walnut 16" wide and clear. I wanted to cut it all 4/4 but my saw scale was a little off so I ended up cutting it 5/4 no big deal but I thought they seemed a little heavy
