IMERC, did you read above?  The signs were not swiped. They were legally obtained many years ago when they became to worn to use and were being discarded after replacement.

They are entering and leaving a famous National Forest. The only thing we have left is:

I really dont want to hog this thread, but I am at work and it is really slow... :D
Got my WM lt40g24, Setworks and debarker in oct. '97, been sawing part time ever since, Moving logs with a bobcat.

Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington State.

If I could have picked any one of the National Forests to get this from to reflect my interest in the history of forestry in the U.S., it would have been this one. 8)

Cool!  It's the only one I could think of that directly names someone or something specifically forestry-related  (instead of just a place).

I bid on and won a bronze memorial coin for Pinchot and the "new" SAF building.


My intent is to put it a shadow box with Pinchot's "A Primer of Forestry" parts 1 and 2, 1905 printing.

More on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The book "Breaking New Gound" by Gifford Pichot is a Conservation Classic and use to be required reading for Forest Service personnel.
