Similar 24" one side planer
McCormick I4 Tractor & U4 power unit for belt drives to equipment
Using Oliver OC-4 and OC-46 track machines for log handling
Sawing one day per week Fall, Winter & Spring and less in the Summer as we spend a lot of time travelling and attending historic equipment shows around the country

Been a member for awhile with a 1220 timber king that I made hydraulic and a 17hp kabota diesel, But as of a week ago I left for N Carolina and came back with a Timber Harvester 36-25 Diesel, big step up for sure and worth the wait. Here are some pictures of the mill cutting some poplar.

This is my '87 Woodmizer LT-40 manual mill.  My dad bought it new but it hasn't been used much with only about 150 hrs on the clock.  The paint is a little faded because he left it ouside for quite a while....too bad because it would look new otherwise.

I've made a few modifications....Raised the deck rails 2" so that I can cut within 1" of the bottom and made outriggers that slide into them to make a place to lay cut lumber.

Added a trailer jack (upside down) on a sliding track to be used as a toe board.

Made a log gauge that hangs on the main frame so I can tell if I've got the log level.

....and made extensions for the supports to make it easier to turn logs.  I'l like to add a power log turner but still thinking on that.
