This place right here, is BY FAR the best forum I've ever run across in regards to timber framing.

I read both (tfguild and FF) and post to both, however mainly FF nowadays when I'm able.  I see some familar ID's in both places :)

In my experience, FF seems more geared towards owner-builders wheras TFGuild is more for those who make a living at timberframing.  There's some of both in each forum, but again, that's my impression.

Both are good forums, yes.

I have to agree, but sometime quantity is good thing.  If I want to get a multitude of opinions--good or bad, right or wrong--I'm more likely to get responses here.  From there, I can research the answers and come to my own conclusion.   ;D
