For our shed were using hemlock decking.  It'll be about 18" off the ground and the ends will be covered by the board and batten.  Should we put a preservative and a sealer on it since it is close to the ground or not bother?  Thanks, and sorry for the constant string of questions about our shed ;D

it couldn't hurt to roll on some linseed oil or some other sealer.

I'd try and ventilate under the shed if possible to keep moisture from building up in there.

It is ventilated good and air can get at all the underframe of the shed.

If it's that far off of the ground, ventilated, and it won't be getting any moisture on it, I personally wouldn't bother with any sealer.
