After becoming a "FF Widow"  :D I decided to check out what was keeping my husband away at nights so I checked you guys out and found an interesting and engaging forum. So here I am, Newest member of FF, Chainsaw carver, sawmill owner, firefighter and wood lover from the west coast.

I'll be talkin' to you later.
Give a girl a saw and she'll change the world, or at least buck it up.

Welcome to the Forestry Forum.  You will find a very large wealth of warm hearts and alot of knowledge, so pull up a seat and stay awhile.   ;D ;D  If you stay long enough you may even bust a gut laugh so be aware.   ;D :D ;D
Don't be afraid to ask questions even if you think it's a dumb one, we're all dumb at some point or another.

I'll give ya a word of advice, right off the bat...    ::)

NEVER Say anything about anything you aren't willing to show photos of, AND Always give FULL recipes for every food mentioned...   :D ;) :D

NOw, you seem to have mentioned both, a husband and chainsaw carving, and unless photos are forthcoming quickly we won't believe either.   ??? ;D

Please don't, however, carve the husband with the chainsaw, that doesn't sound so much fun...  :D

asy :D :D :D

Welcome HuskyGirl.  We need more info and pics if you please  :)

What type of mill are you running?  How long have you been carving?
Firefighter - forest or structures, or both?
Where in N. California are you located?
Did ya find that lost hubby in here anywhere?  ;)

there seems to some confusion about who really is my man, the winner is......................... T Mullen
We live on the west slope of the Sierra along interstate 80. I gave up professional fire fighting with the California Department of Forestry(CDF) after having children but I am still a memeber of our local volunteer department, we run a Lucas 618, and I carve in my spare time(which is not as much as I'd like). I have been carving 100% Chainsaw but my loving man got me an Arbortech mini-grinder for x-mas so we'll see what disasters, uh, I mean masterpieces come out of that.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Nice try IMERC, but I guess its back to doing things the old way. I did a little searching for you so when you do find that perfect gal you can keep her live full.
