What methods are being used to level mill beds? I use a 4 ' level and string/blocks.

Steve

I just started using a 2' level with a laser dot projecting from the end and it works great for me. I am using a Mobile dimension and I use it for level as well as square.

I live in the Ozarks and level is a relative term here.  I just pull 6 pins and jack the handle a time or two and done.  I check the carriage to the deck once a month and have to adjust it about twice a year about 1/32 each time.  I use a string to set up the bed extension for the 32 ft stuff but once the bolts are tight it takes a good jolt to knock it off.  Maybe it is just the orange paint ;D
