Hi Guys,   Have any of you Norwood owners used the 2 ft. extensions??? If so how do you like them. Are they worth the $ or should I just build my own ext.  Also what pitch are you using for blades to cut cedat 7/8 or 3/4??  Don

Macdon not sure what the price is but have you looked at the bulletin board
at Norwood. There was a post there where a guy made the extion. You
might look at it. As for me i would make the extion and save some money.

As for the blades used for cedar we use 7/8 only and have had no trouble
cutting any of the hard woods or cedar.

Hi Macdon-- I have the Norwood 2' ext. and have moved it to the front of the mill--its ok but i would not reccommend it for the $-- I made a 6' ext. for the mill (could have been 8' for the same $) --28$ for 20' 1 1/4 x1 1/4 angle and about 8$ for lag bolts--see pictures at the bottom of

Macdon,

I have the extension. It works for me. Great. Painless, therefore worth the price. Pitch? I can't answer your question. Stock blades, whatever the pitch is. I cut western red cedar. Tough cutting to be sure, but works well with stock pitch.
