I had my final inspection yesterday on my timber frame home.  I got a
temporary certificate of occupancy. ( I just have to finish my porch.)  I still
have some things to do inside but it's all minor stuff.  My wife and I have
done everything except the HVAC rough in, plumbing rough in and counter
installation.  I have some pictures on cd that I will try and post if anyone
is interested.  It also looks like I have my first timber framing job lined up
and possibly another one after that.

Don the minimum for doing trim work on windows is 4 years, told Patty you have to wait that long for the windows to settle. ;D

I am so glad for you. Looking forward to the pic's. I am still years behind you. Will be glad when I reach the point of seeing timbers going up in the air.

Thanks for all the encouragement.  I will try and figure out how to post
pictures.  I'm not very computer literate.  It doesn't help that I don't
have one at home yet,  I use the ones at the university that I work for.
By the time I'm done with my house  the cost to build it will be about
$60 a sq. ft. which isn't bad.
