It's a great idea in my book too. For any of you other southern types here's one closer to our neck of the woods (the wife and I are going to go to this one): http://www.lsuagcenter.com/enr/news/index.asp#%20Drying
We're attending the Aug 17th - 19th course ...anyone else plan on going give us a heads up and we can do lunch :)
The oil is all in Texas, but the dipsticks are in D.C.

Are you heading out for that course next week?

Have any others been to one of these kiln drying short courses? Like the one in MN that ElectricAl mentioned?

  Just curious.  :)

I went to one years ago, and found it very informative.

I did attend the Nyle/ WoodDoc basic introductory 1 day class in Indy a few years ago with Tripp Lewis and Gene Wengert teaching. Good class. I'm going to try to make the NC class if I can swing the time.

The best laid plans of mice and men......
At the time it seemed doable, but I just couldn't get the decks cleared in time. I would say I'm going to shoot for the november beginners class but that even looks grim :(
