  Hi all, great site .I have a cutoff saw with a 26in. blade,I plan on using it to cut slabs and small firewood.Guestion what is the optimum rpm to turn this blade?

Skidder,

If you run your 26 inch blade about 900 rpm, it will give you a rim speed of 6000ft per min for the cutting speed of this blade.  You will need at least 30 hp gas engine to handle this blade do to any serious sawing.

Get in touch with Peach, you may have to have this blade "hammered" to get it into the correct rpm range.
