THANKS EVERYONE!!  I have been gone and got back just last night.  I was not here but got the best present on my Birthday and there was a party here on the Farm while I was gone.  It was a surprise party and I did not even know about it till last night and could not see the left overs till this morning.  Two days before I left I started a small fire behind the sawshed to burn some chips and chuncks from under the mill and since my leg was sore I did not travel far.

It was raining and did not burn very good as the shavings got wet and did not burn all of the chuncks I cleaned out from under the mill.  On my birthday the wind picked up and it hit 80 degrees and the smoldering shavings caught and burnt across the top and got into the woods behind the mill.  A customer came buy to check on some 2x4's and stopped up at the In-laws to ask why I was burning such good logs on such a windy day.  So the local VFD throwed me a Party and about 20 of them showed up and put out the fire.  I only lost about $200 worth of cedar slabs and a few scorched pine logs.  There is now about 5 acres of woods cleaned of brush and ticks.

Had the customer not come the fire would have progressed back down the log piles to the lumber piles and then to the mill.  Wanda and Egor would have burned up along with about $10,000 worth of logs and lumber.  When William comes back for his 2x4's there will be no charge.  When the VFD is standing out at the intersection with their boots in hand taking donations I think a few Bens will fill it quite nice.
Yes Sir it was quite a party and I missed it.

WOW. Sure glad that fire was brought under control. Fire is the worst devastation, other than water.

The FD still in the little building in downtown Bruno???
