On this day in Canada we remember the courage of a young man who began his 'Marithin of Hope' in Saint John's Newfoundland. This is the 25th Anniversery of Terry Fox's run for a cure for cancer. Part of his goal was to raise a dollar in donations for every Canadian to fight this terrible disease. Terry Fox made it as far as Thunderbay, Ontario before his cancer came back. He passed away a year later.

I have been past Thunder Bay four times and each time I have made it a point to stop at the Terry Fox Memorial and take time to reflect.

There is a mountain named for him in British Columbia.  It's just northeast of Valemount.
I eat a high-fiber diet.  Lots of sawdust!
