I would like to add a tachometer to my Lombardini engine. I contacted Lombardini and they told me to call Pitt Auto Electric. Pitt told me that a tachometer could not be installed on that engine. I have never fooled with a tach before but I understand that the electric tachs hook up to the alternator. I hate to go and buy one at NAPA or Advance Auto Parts and then not be able to make it work. If I buy one, should it work?

try this site. I haven't bought from them , but on an earlier thread they were mentioned.

I called Tiny Tach and they don't have anything that will work on the Lombardini. I guess I will just buy a cheap electrical one and experiment.
